The power of words (Saturday Story).

The power of words...

A group of frogs was travelling through the woods, and two of them fell into a deep pit.

All the other frogs gathered around the pit. When they saw how deep the pit was, they told the two frogs that they were as good as dead.

The two frogs ignored the comments and tried to jump out of the pit with all of their might.

The other frogs kept telling them to stop, that they were as good as dead.

Finally, one of the frogs took heed to what the other frogs were saying and gave up. He fell down and died.
The other frog continued to jump as hard as he could. Once again, the crowd of frogs yelled at him to stop the pain and just die.

He jumped even harder and finally made it out. When he got out, the other frogs said, "Did you not hear us?"

The frog explained to them that he was deaf. He thought they were encouraging him the entire time.

Lessons to be learnt:
1. There is power of life and death in the tongue. An encouraging word to someone who is down can lift them up and help them make it through the day.

2. A destructive word to someone who is down can be what it takes to kill him or her. Be careful of what you say.

Speak life to those who cross your path. The power of words...
it is sometimes hard to understand that an encouraging word can go such a long way. Anyone can speak words that tend to rob another of the spirit to continue in difficult times.

Special is the individual who will take the time to encourage another.

Eight Things That Build Intimacy Aside Lovemaking

Sex is an intimate act and most couples consider it as the ultimate way to build intimacy. But there’s more to it if you are in a long term steady relationship. But you don’t always need to be naked to develop the bond and build intimacy.

Here are simple things that can help build intimacy between the two of you without involving sex’:

Cuddling: Not spooning or the foreplay kind cuddling but just being close to each other before going to bed or on a lazy Sunday morning is an amazing way to feel close. Curl up on the couch while watching your favourite movie or series.

Keep your phone away: That is the best thing you can do in this age for your partner. Keep all gadgets away, put your phone on silent mode if need be and just be together. Focus on each other and make them feel that they matter the most.

Soulful conversations: Spare some time during the day for heart-to-heart talk with your partner. Don’t discuss responsibilities, kids, future or an irate client that you came across. Talk about the two of you, bring back old memories, and appreciate each other.

Care: Show your affection, support your partner because that’s what makes them feel cared for. Make note of little things that matter to them. Give them a break from daily routine someday, or bring flowers while on your way back home or make their favourite coffee or food on a regular day. You don’t need occasions to show your care. Showing it on other days builds a stronger bond.

Work together: Not in the same office but work as a team. Join her for grocery shopping, tag along with him to watch a game or go to the gym together. Working out or exercising together is an excellent way to build intimacy too.

Play board games: Remember how you made good friends as kids while playing games. Bond with your partner with board games, they need not always be strip poker or other Sex games but just monopoly or Pictionary is also a lot of fun. Moreover, it’s like spending quality time with each other.

Night stroll: If you are busy during the day, spend some time with each other during a night stroll. Walk hand in hand, chatting about random things, smile, laugh and share your feelings. You’ll feel so much closer to each other.

Cook dinner together, listen to music or even dance while doing so. Offering a helping hand in the kitchen is a great way to bond with your partner and show that you care.
