6 STAGES OF A WOMAN'S LIFE

At what stage in a woman's life are you? Everybody knows that life is difficult but being a woman can actually be particularly complex. Let's unfold the complexity of every woman's stage and what she had to contend with in every stages of her growth.

Stage1: Growing Up.
This is the transition from childhood to adulthood. This usually begin from the age of 12, 13 & 14, but recent studies shows adulthood begin from age 8 & 10, due to technology advancement and the type of food consumption children eat this days which speed up their hormonal functions. Thus, the beginning of a woman's problems, breast filling/ protruding out, mestruation and pimples.

Next, of course is the inevitable. Once a girl starts growing up, she starts meeting boys which in turn start noticing her beauty plus the curves. As the girl grows into an adolescent she may at this point fall in love for the first time in her life. Now, is the confusion of who to like, what to do, what not to do plus the inevitable question of sex and virginity. Also, at this point in a girls life she might be secretive, moody nor very hostile to her parents most especially the mother, though this is not unexpected because to be honest the girl is still really trying to find nor discover herself by trying to differentiate between her mother's moral lessons, school morals, what she had read and discuss with her friends. Belief me, a tough time of decision making and lots of 'WH' questions on her head. But, this is the stage where mothers really need to perform their motherhood roles in helping the little damsel to discover who she really is and her place in the society.

Stage 3: Breaking Up
This is usually the most painful stage of all. This point in time is bittersweet because emotions and romance have been attached into friendship which usually results into breakups. Reason being that, at this stage the girl is mentally immature, it might be very painful but time heals everything.

Stage 4: Marriage
By this time, a lady is past 22 of age and the question of marriage pops up several times from the society, friends, and family may begin pressurizing. For some, marriage means the ultimate triumph in life but there are several other challenges at this point in life. Not only is there a question of whom to marry and when, there is the question of carrier, how to make money and societal acceptance. Also, if you are married, you are rewarded with the ardous task of balancing husband, careers, in- laws, house choices et cetera.

Stage 5: Having Children
This brings quite a sudden change in a woman's life. Now, there is more than one responsibility in your life. There is nine months pregnancy to carry, babies to nurse, mouths to feed to satisfaction, as well as husband to pamper and a home to manage. How to cope? Beings mother and a wife is 24 hours a day, 7 days a week job without leave and the beauty of it is that, it's for as life time.

Stage6: Growing Old
Eventually it happens to everyone. First you start putting in weight, then the wrinkles come, hair turns grey, breast start cagging, tummy bulging and bones weakens gradually. Hmmh! Being a woman is not an easy task.

So, what stage are you in? Remember, to always make the best out of every stage you find yourself.

The Degeneration of the Generation

These days, everything you hear or see
At all places: on the land, air or at sea
Is a morbid manifestation of what our society is,
which makes you to conclude that ours is this?
The degeneration of our degeneration

Children are no longer obedient to their parents;
They are rude and discourteous to the elders;
At school, they dawdle and idle, wasting their talents.
How would these ragamuffins obey perfect orders?
The degeneration of our degeneration

Young boys and girls (on campus) even in high schools pick bad habits
They drink and gamble; they smoke and embrace pop- music,
Rag-tags, riff- raffs they are; they are the nit- wits
Alien culture they imbibe as other excesses make their heart sick
The degeneration of our degeneration

Transparent dresses are now in vogue
Mini- skirt, tight fitting clothes the female now wear
Abandons for good are the church and the mosque
At those who are modest, people now sneer and gear
The degeneration of our degeneration

Youths are incorrigible in their insatiable greed
Undergraduates want to bag certificates, so as to steal and loot
Mere worldlings like themselves, worldly people breed
When you tell them, “be sincere” you hear sincerity, my foot

Evil are the words that are now favoured by man
As all is poised to (in) advertently follow
Through indecent, pornographic films embraces by crooks
Many are greatly misled, as they are by bad books, magazine and internet
Quite a degeneration of this degeneration

The older ones even do not fare better, they are sybaritic.
In them, there are many a go- better
In matters related to religious or faith, they fatter
All what they crave after is just bread and butter!
The degeneration of our degeneration

How sad it is about this our generation:
Righteousness is now considered as civilization
Morality is today a source of derision and humiliation
Decency, modesty in dressing is being subjected to condemnation
Ah! What a degeneration of this our own degeneration!

Injustice is presently raised to be raised to the peak of elevation
Sins and crimes are what people hail in glorification
The “culture of nakedness” is now a celebration
Hypocrisy in (wo)men wins laurels and commendation.
What a scandalous degeneration of this “wasted generation”!

All theses I say dear readers:
It is not as if, I am better in character than you or the other
The fact remains that we are in this all together
Rather ponder on issues, and about me, do not bother.

The Best Power Foods for Women

You grind in the gym every day to look and feel your best, but if your diet doesn't include these 12 power foods, you're doing yourself and your health a disservice!

To strengthen bones: parmesan cheese
Calcium is key for preventing osteoporosis (especially in your 20s). Yogurt and nonfat milk help, but who wants them three times a day? Work Parmesan cheese (
A solid food prepared from the pressed curd of milk, often seasoned and aged) into your diet; its 340 mg of calcium per ounce - compared to about 200 mg in cheddar or Swiss - goes a long way toward your 1000 mg/day quota.

To boost immunity: apples

Smart and sweet, apples are rich in quercetin, an antioxidant that can bolster your body's disease-fighting abilities. In one study from Appalachian State University, just 5 percent of people who ate more quercetin came down with a respiratory infection over a two-week period, compared to 45 percent of those who didn't.

To build your iron stores: lentils

Low-calorie lentils pack about 30 percent of your daily iron per cup cooked. About 12 percent of young women have low iron stores - at the extreme, that leads to anemia. But one study found that even women who were iron deficient (not anemic) had poorer performances on skill tests than those with normal levels.

To fight wrinkles: broccoli
"A cup of broccoli has 100 percent of your vitamin C-crucial for production of collagen, which gives skin elasticity," says Tammy Lakatos Shames, R.D. It's also rich in beta-carotene, which the body converts to vitamin A. This vitamin assists in cell turnover, so old skin cells are replaced with fresh (read: younger-looking) ones.

To get healthy carbs: potatoes
Potatoes contain a fat-fighting compound called resistant starch that can help keep weight in check. One medium spud with the skin will run you just around 100 calories, and with more potassium than bananas, potatoes also help fight heart disease by keeping blood pressure low.

To up your intake of foliate: spinach

This leafy green is high in vitamin K and also contains calcium and magnesium - a combo that may help slow the breakdown of bone that occurs as you get older - as well as foliate, a B vitamin that helps prevent birth defects. And it packs just 7 calories per cup raw!

To stress less: dark chocolate
European researchers found that people who ate an ounce and a half of dark chocolate - about 200 calories worth-every day for two weeks produced less of the stress hormone cortisol and reported feeling less frazzled. Cortisol causes a temporary rise in blood pressure; consistently high levels up your risk for depression, obesity, heart disease and more.

To fight cancer: mushrooms
One study showed that women who ate just one third of an ounce of raw mushrooms a day (that's about one button mushroom) had a 64 percent reduction in breast cancer risk. Other research suggests that mushrooms reduce the effects of aromatase, a protein that helps produce estrogen - a major factor in some breast cancers.

To fight heart disease: sardines
These pungent little fish are good sources of omega-3 acids, which decrease inflammation that can lead to blocked arteries. They also prevent blood clots that can cause heart attacks and strokes, and keep blood vessels smooth and supple. Three ounces of sardines have about 1.3 grams of omega-3s (you need about 1 gram a day).

To help flatten your belly: avocados

Avocados are high in monounsaturated fat, which has been shown to help you drop weight, including from your troublesome middle. In one study, people who got the most monos (about 23 percent of their daily calories) had about 5 pounds less belly fat than those who ate a high-carb, lower-fat diet.

To protect your eyes: bell peppers
Age-related macular degeneration (AMD) and cataracts are leading causes of vision loss, but foods rich in lutein, zeaxanthin, and vitamin C, like bell peppers, can keep eyes sharp. A cup of sliced red, yellow and orange peppers contains nearly twice your daily vitamin C, plus 116 micrograms (mcg) of lutein, and 562 mcg of zeaxanthin.

To boost energy: whole-grain pasta

Whole-grain pasta is loaded with B vitamins, which help your body convert food into energy. And unlike processed grain products that lack fiber, whole grains are more filling than their refined counterparts. In other words, you'll feel satisfied with fewer calories.
