A lot of us have beliefs that limit us in one way or another, prevent us from achieving our goals, and hinder us from getting what we really want in our lives.
Fortunately, we don't have to live by these beliefs that keep on dragging us down, because there are ways that could actually help us to overcome limiting beliefs.
Follow these techniques.
IDENTIFY YOUR LIMITING BELIEFS
Ask yourself what is the belief that is holding you back.
“I’m not talented enough, I’m never going to learn to play that music on a guitar.”,
“I’m not rich enough to start up my own business”
“Many others have failed to quit smoking, I don’t think I can either.”
It is usually the same one that comes into your mind every time you decided to work on something, or when you encounter a setback.
WORK ON ONE OF THEM
Once you have identified all your limiting beliefs, aim to tackle them one at a time.
Always start with the easiest one.
But how do you know if it is easy? – The one that you think is not true at all.
For example, “I’m not rich enough to start up my own business”. You know that many businesses not do require a large amount of money, and hence such belief is not true.
PROVE IT WRONG
Find evidence that proves that this belief is wrong. Online research. Consult subject matter experts. Interview successful business owners.
For example, if you think setting up a business requires large amount of money, you are wrong. It has been proven many times that certain online business can start operation with almost ZERO capital.
USE POSITIVE AFFIRMATION
A positive affirmation is simply a positive statement specifically targeted at re-programming an existing limiting belief.
Any thought you repeat often enough will in time be passed down to your subconscious mind to create a belief.
If the new, positive statement is repeated enough times, it will in time be strong enough to over-ride the existing negative one.
An example of a positive affirmation for wealth creation is "I’m worthy of making more money.", or “I move from poverty thinking to abundance thinking”.
REPEAT
Follow the above steps for each of the limiting beliefs you have. It has worked for many people, I’m sure it will work for you.
